Shopping and entertainment The Shops at La Cantera and The Rim are about 8 miles south, with national retailers, dining, a movie theater, and the TopGolf and Main Event cluster nearby. Six Flags Fiesta Texas is at the same exit. Government Canyon State Natural Area is a little further west for a longer hike. Golf The Dominion, Cordillera Ranch, and the TPC San Antonio courses at La Cantera are all within a short drive. Weekends in Boerne Downtown Boerne is about 11 miles northwest, where the Hill Country Mile has boutique shopping, local restaurants, and Boerne Market Days on the second weekend of the month. The Cibolo Center for Conservation and Boerne City Lake Park are both close to downtown. Worth the trip, though not a daily one. Wineries and the wider Hill Country The wineries and breweries along the 46 and 290 corridors open up from here, and Fredericksburg is an easy day trip. In other words, pretty much the best San Antonio has to offer. You'll love it.
